- Does the country you're visiting require you to have a visa? If so, is the visa issued at the airport or do you have to apply from your country of origin? There are various types of visas depending on the purpose of your visit.
- Is there a direct flight to your destination? Direct flights are less tiring but they may also be expensive
- Do you need to get vaccinated against any disease?
- Is the country you are travelling to warm or cold? What type of dressing is appropriate for both the weather and the culture of the people in the country you are visiting?
- How much weight are you allowed to carry free?
- Air security is of great concern today than it was before the upsurge of terrorists threats. You should therefore avoid carrying items that would put you into unnecessary security checks. Be sure you don't carry prohibited items in your baggage

- Have you made arrangements for someone to meet you at the airport or would you take a taxi?
- If you are not familiar with the local language, try to learn a few words, like the greetings and how to say you don't speak the local language.
